INTRODUCTION

Welded wire mesh is the latest development in land wire product industry. The welded wire, generally called reinforcing wire, is mostly used in cement concrete work for construction of buildings, National Highway pavements, runways,  dams,  airports etc. It is also used for fencing purposes and for partition walls and as a safety guard in engineering workshops.

For  the  sake of light weight structure  case  of  handling flexibility  in structure welding wire mesh has replaced  grilled structure  to  a  great  extent.  Wire mesh also finds great application in R.C.C. structure from the design criteria.

As a general standard of living of the mass improves as a result of the planned development activities going on in the country demand for new houses, offices,  factories,  super structures. Payments increases considerably, as a result the requirement of wire mesh increase considerably.

Technical know-how for the manufacture of wire mesh is fully developed in the country,  and a number of industries are producing quality products even export standards are  established on  firm  fooling.  As such any necessity  of  foreign  technical collaboration  is not recommended in field and know how  will  be readily available from reputed consultancy house.

Wire mesh has got a very good export market. It has got a wide market in Middle East countries.
