SPIRAL WELDED M.S. PIPE
[CODE NO. 1983]
Spiral Weld Pipe, as the name implies, is a steel pipe which has a seam running its entire length in a spiral form. In the past, due to the method of manufacture, Spiral Welded pipe was relegated to low pressure and structural applications. With the development of the Submerged Arc Welding process, the production of large hot rolled coils of sufficient width and the development of dependable non-destructive testing methods, it is now possible to produce Spiral Weld pipe for high pressure service.
Spiral welded pipe is an alternative process, spiral weld construction allows large diameter pipe to be produced from narrower plates or skelp. The defects that occur in spiral welded pipe are mainly those associated with the SAW weld, and are similar in nature to those for longitudinally welded SAW pipe.
Steel pipes through their protection methods against corrosion and their resistance in 4 corrosive areas they prefer initially. In the production of spiral pipe (also known as helical seam pipe) sheet metal coil (coil=saç rulo bobin) is continuously shaped into a tube by spiral forming facility applying a constant bending radius, with also being continuously welded inline and outline. Each pipe diameter requires a certain plate width of sheet metal. A lot of types of pipes are producing in industry. Spiral pipe is the only one type which we will produce. İn the daily life spiral pipe is used for water distribution lines petroleum pipelines industrial pipe network, compress air line, hydroelectric power plants projects etc.
