Detailed Project Report on peracetic acid from glacial acetic acid and hydrogen (35%) using sulphuric acid as a cytalyst

PERACETIC ACID FROM GLACIAL ACETIC ACID AND HYDROGEN PEROXIDE (35%)
USING SULPHURIC ACID AS A CATALYST

[CODE NO.1957]

The Peracetic Acid (PAA) is a chemical product belonging to the peroxide compounds as Hydrogen Peroxide (HP). But unlike HP, it is a more potent antimicrobial agent, being rapidly active at low concentrations against a wide spectrum of microorganism. It is sporicidal even at low temperatures and it remains effective also in the presence of organic matter.
