INTRODUCTION
Ice Pack is one of the important products of new generation for cooling of various products or keeps chilling of various products viz. medicines, injection vials, or heat sensitive products like fruits and vegetables meat, fishes, blood bags, semen bags, body injectibles, I.V. fluids and other so many items for longer periods. It is mainly used for chilling purposes for longer shelf life by checking growth of thermophilic bacterials in the products. It is used for chilling of various chemicals which are thermo sensitive in nature and loses their original characteristics at higher temperatures.
The ice packs have very unique important characteristic, that it can be repeatedly re-used several times by freezing and using, again and again. Its cooling and chilling characteristics remain as usual for very long period. It is now one of the conveniently useable items which directly substitutes the consumption of ice or ultimately reduces the ice application in various transportation methods. It's important property is that it donot leave water in the system like ice, when absorbs heat it starts melting and leaving behind the water. Which may damage to the packaging material of products and cause wastage of items. Now this ice pack concept has made the chilling system convinient and easily controlled by simply removing the ice pack from the system. It has made the handling system easy and adoptable to the requisite environment.
