GOLD & SILVER JEWELLERY MANUFACTURING UNIT
[CODE NO.3966]

In this competitive world, there are various gold and silver jewellery manufacturing brands having the best of units. The manufacturing process in this unit has been divided into various steps, each of which shall be explained herewith.

DESIGNING
For manufacturing a unique jewellery designed piece, it is important to start with creating a good design. This is where the best of magic begins. The designer herewith, through his creative instincts, develops an idea and makes it a reality.

CAD
The best of jewellery designing software is the CAD software which helps in improvement of designs as well as accuracy in the designing process. Once conceptualization of design takes place, it is made in the form of an artwork. The design construction is done via CAD (Computer Aided Designing) technology.

DESIGNING RAPID PROTOTYPE
After the CAD design is ready, it is set for 3D rapid prototyping, which works on DLPT (Direct Light Projection Technology), which is a fully functional technology.

MAKING OF A SUITABLE MODEL
The CAD output is converted to a silver model via the process of casting. This design is copied to many silver jewellery pieces. This is then converted to rubber mould from which various other pieces are made.

RUBBER MOULD
This step is a very crucial part of the production process which helps in creation of various pieces of design. These patterns are embedded in moulds for a very long time and are crucial and essential in creating replicas. Various materials are used in mould making such as metal, rubber and silicone – and this process is termed as ‘vulcanizing’.

WAXING
Wax pieces are produced from the so produced rubber moulds. This is pressure injected molten wax which are injected into the cavity for casting of wax models.

CASTING
Skilled and experienced casters are required for this process to get the final desired product. The molten metal that is produced at the end of the process is poured into flasks and is then cooled and demolished well to reveal the casting form of jewellery.

GRINDING
The process of grinding is done in the grinding machine efficiently so that the final polishing could be done as required to achieve a smooth surface at the end.

FILING / ASSEMBLY
Excess metal is removed at this step an the casting layer is efficiently removed as well. This in turn assists in giving a smooth finish.

POLISHING
This step assists in a neat finish and involves tumbling, ultra cleaning as well as pre polishing.

METAL SETTING
This refers to securely attaching gemstones in the considered design of jewellery. Various designs are used to make the gemstones look appealing.

POLISHING
This step refers to the final polishing which is done after setting of stones. This can be done by hand as well as by machine. Various types of specialized tools are used for this step

PLATING BY RHODIUM
The precious metal rhodium is used for plating of jewellery giving it white reflective appearance as well as resistance to scratches.

QUALITY CHECK AND CONTROL
This includes the step of procedures that ensures that the manufactured jewellery designs follow quality check guidelines and meet the client requirements. The steps include mechanical inspection, measurement as well as visual inspection.
