INTRODUCTION

Air filters and filtration equipment are ubiquitous equipment used in diverse industries and fields, given the universal need to maintain particulate cleanliness to ensure efficient functioning of equipment/machinery and the growing pressure to improve urban and indoor air quality. From residential, commercial to industrial sectors, these equipments are widely used to filter and remove atmospheric particulate matter. In clean air applications, the growing media clamor over deteriorating indoor air quality, increasing incidences of allergic respiratory disorders and growing threat of airborne infectious diseases, is triggering increased demand for air filtration and air cleaning devices. Stricter Clean Air Laws against a backdrop of rising concerns over environmental pollution and public health is also positively impacting demand. For instance, strict emission norms is driving up demand for automotive filters by bringing auto OEMs under pressure to produce vehicles with lower emission rates. The scenario is creating strong demand for filters engineered to reduce soot emissions.

Manufacturing industries are also coming under the environmental yoke to reduce industrial emissions which in turn is driving demand for end-of-pipe air pollution control equipment.
