INTRODUCTION

Sulfamic acid is a chemical compound with the formula H3NSO3. Other chemical names given to the acid are amidosulfonic acid, amidosulfuric acid, aminosulfonic acid, and sulfamidic acid. This colourless, odourless, crystalline sand-like solid, water-soluble compound finds many applications. Sulphamic acid can be used for removing scales obtained from water during heating and cooling systems example : boilers, condensers, descaling toilets, heat exchangers, jackets and coils, removal of excess grout on tiles, light rust, copper corrosion, among others. It is dry, non-hygroscopic, non- volatile and stable solid.
