L-Lysine-HCl is an important chemical compound, coming under the category of Amino Acids. It is available in white powder or pale brownish powder and also available in crystalline structure.

It is mainly used in preparation of pharmaceutical products. It's use is also extended for food enrichment, Animal feed enrichment, preparation of tissue culture media etc. It is highly demanded all over India.

L-Lysine Monohydrochloride:-

It is available as white powder or pale brownish powder. It is also available in crystalline structure.

This compound is available in various purities.

The compound having more than 99% purity checked by thin layer chromatography shows following properties.

pH (1 M water, at 20oC)  =    5-7

Residue on ignition      =    < 0.1 %

Solubility (1 M in water, at 20oC)  =  Complete

It is completely soluble in water and produces a colouless solution.

It should possess the insoluble matter < 0.1 %
