INTRODUCTION
Grinding media are commonly used for the extraction of precious metals, when processing ore minerals. Grinding media are of two types-steel balls and grinding rods. The size of grinding steel balls can be a diameter between 20mm and 150mm, or 1 inch to 6 inch. The steel balls of diameter 25 to 120mm. are used for grinding purposes. In fact, these balls are used in ball mills where the material is ground. The balls are of different diameter and they are thus manufactured by melting and casting by foundary techniques.
Foundary industry is an important one for protection of any iron protection because the casting work is done only by foundaries and then they further jobs to the finished product depending upon and uses are carried out without foundary. No any iron product can be manufactured. Whatever, the steel products, is also cast in steel foundary.
The foundary industry has zig-zag trend depending upon the market fluctuation of the finished products. However, the industries are at very old origin and have extremely been modernized in the past two decades by adopting modern machinery and equipment. The steel balls in diameter of 3" t 5" are used in cement factory for grinding of purposes. In fact, there balls are used in ball mills where the cement is ground. The balls are big in diameter and they are thus manufactured by melting and casting by foundary technique.
It is intended to prepare a Feasibility Report to install 30 TPD Grinding Media Balls production facility as a Green Field Project.
